NOSE PIN & NOSE RING CARE

How do I wear a nose pin?

  • Gently insert the bent section of the wire into your piercing

  • Slowly rotate and push it in until the design sits flat on the nose

  • Stop once the wire is no longer visible

⚠️ Important:
Do not straighten or over-adjust the coil wire. Doing so can weaken the wire and may cause breakage.


Important Care Instructions for Nose Jewellery

  • Our nose pins are designed with thinner, malleable wires for easier adjustment

  • Thinner wires are more delicate and require extra care

  • Over-bending or repeated adjustments can lead to breakage

  • Beginners are advised to practice handling wire jewellery carefully before use

👉 Breakage due to mishandling, bending, or improper use is not covered under returns or replacements, even if it occurs shortly after delivery.


Are nose pins suitable for fresh piercings?

No.
All nose pins and nose rings are for fully healed piercings only.

Using jewellery on fresh or unhealed piercings may cause irritation, discomfort, or infection.


What if I experience irritation or allergy?

Skin irritation may occur due to:

  • Incorrect insertion

  • Fresh or unhealed piercing

  • Individual skin sensitivity or metal allergy

While our jewellery is crafted in genuine sterling silver, allergic reactions vary from person to person.

We recommend:

  • Consulting a dermatologist

  • Getting a patch test done if you have sensitive skin

👉 Complaints related to allergy or skin reaction are not eligible for return or replacement.


PURITY & HALLMARKING

How do I know the purity of your jewellery?

All jewellery sold by Nemichand Jewels is made of 90%–92.5% sterling silver, which is the industry-standard purity for silver jewellery.


Do your pieces come with hallmark certification?

  • Our jewellery is crafted using 925 sterling silver

  • Due to size limitations, small items like nose pins and nose rings may not carry a visible 925 stamp

  • This does not affect purity or quality

Purity is assured as per industry standards.


TARNISHING & DISCOLORATION

Why does 925 sterling silver jewellery turn dark?

Tarnishing is a natural reaction of silver when it comes in contact with:

  • Air and moisture

  • Sulphur present in the atmosphere

  • Perfumes, shampoos, lotions, and chemicals

Silver darkens due to sulfidation, not oxidation. This confirms that the jewellery is genuine silver.


My jewellery turned yellow. Is it fake?

No.
Yellowing or discoloration can occur due to:

  • Exposure to chemicals

  • Improper storage

  • Skin pH (acidic skin may cause faster tarnishing)

This is common for genuine silver and is reversible.


How can I prevent tarnishing?

  • Store jewellery in airtight pouches with anti-tarnish strips

  • Avoid contact with water, perfumes, and chemicals

  • Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, or exercising


How do I clean tarnished jewellery?

You can clean at home using:

  • A silver-cleaning cloth

  • Mild silver polish

  • Tooth powder (e.g., Colgate powder) for light tarnish

For heavy tarnish, professional cleaning is recommended.

Is jewellery sold by weight or by piece?

Our jewellery is sold per piece, not by silver weight.

Pricing is based on:

  • Design

  • Craftsmanship

  • Materials

  • Finishing

Silver weight is approximate and not the basis of pricing.


Is there any resale value of Nemichand Jewels products?

Yes.
As our jewellery is sterling silver (90–92.5%), it has resale value.

You may sell old or damaged jewellery to any jeweller at the prevailing market rate of silver.

  • Maharashtra: 5–7 working days

  • Rural areas may take longer

  • Custom or made-to-order jewellery: 10–15 working days


Can I see live photos or videos before dispatch?

Yes, wherever possible.
This depends on product availability and production stage.


What if my parcel is damaged or incomplete?

Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with:

  • Clear photos

  • Unboxing video
