Frequently Asked Questions:

How to wear nosepin?

> To wear the nose pin, gently insert the little bent section of the wire at the end of the nose pin into your piercing.

> Slowly rotate the nose pin while simultaneously pushing it gently inside your nose. >

Stop the process once you no longer see the wire and the nose pin’s design lies parallel to the surface of your nose.

>You should not straighten the coil wire, doing so will weaken the wire and it will be prone to breakages.

We are not responsible for cases of breakages of nose jewelry due to mishandling of wires even if it happens within few hours of delivery. Please note that the we have introduced thinner wire nose pins as its easier for you to adjust being more malleable. Thicker wires are sturdy but difficult to adjust for beginners. However, being thinner, these wires are more delicate and must be treated with extra care so as not to be bent out of shape. Thinner wire is also more likely to break from over adjusting multiple times. Please practice on ear piercing if you are new to wire nose pins/ septum rings. Also look for wire gauges before purchase. We do not entertain any complaints of allergy or reddening of area after using nose pins. All nose rings are for HEALED piercings only! Do not try them on fresh piercings. If the skin looks irritated, then you may be unaware of how to insert the nose ring or you are allergic to silver or any kind of metal. Always consult dermatologist and get a patch test done for such cases. All our nose pins are handcrafted in pure silver with real semiprecious gemstones. So chance of a skin irritation is very rare. Owing to its small size and intricate craftsmanship, 925 Hallmarking is not always possible on nose pins like other jewelry as the process involves the application of a strong force to engrave on the metal. But we never compromise in the quality of product

Why does 925 Sterling Silver jewelry get dark?

It is a natural reaction for your jewelry to tarnish over time. The blackened color of this metal indicates, precisely, that our jewelry is made of 925 Sterling Silver. 925 Sterling Silver darkens due to daily use, as well as for other reasons. One of the most common reasons is the use of products such as perfumes, shampoos or gels. It may also react immediately with corrosive or cleaning products. In addition, this metal can also become contaminated by reacting with small particles in the air, such as sulphur found in the atmosphere in the form of sulphide or hydrogen sulphide. And as an intersting fact! Silver is not darkened by "oxidation" (since it is a noble metal and cannot be oxidized), but it acquires that color by "sulfidation". Another factor to consider is the PH of our skin. If it tends to be acidic, there is more chance that the silver will turn black. That explains why your jewelry can tarnish faster than the jewelry of other people. It depends on the acidity of your skin.

Tarnishing and Yellowing Issues

Why does silver tarnish over time?
Tarnishing is a natural reaction when silver comes into contact with sulfur, air, or moisture. This does not mean your jewelry is fake. Regular cleaning can restore its shine.

My silver jewelry has turned yellow. Is it fake?
No, yellowing or discoloration can occur due to:

  • Exposure to chemicals like perfumes, lotions, or cleaning agents.
  • Prolonged storage in open air without proper sealing.

This is common for genuine silver and can be cleaned using silver polish or a soft cloth.

How can I prevent tarnishing and yellowing?

  • Store your jewelry in airtight bags with anti-tarnish strips.
  • Avoid wearing it while swimming, showering, or using chemical products.
  • Clean it regularly with a silver-cleaning cloth.

What should I do if my jewelry has tarnished or yellowed?
You can clean it at home with:

  • A silver-cleaning cloth.
  • A mild silver polish.
  • Toothpowder like Col gate powder (an affordable and effective solution).
For severe tarnishing, professional cleaning is recommended.
